Started an eBay store today. Since I am selling more than just toys, I am using the name Robot Monster Clearing House instead of Robot Monster Toys.

Important News Regarding the Yard Sale Maps: While I have enjoyed providing these free maps nearly every week for the last two years, my responsibilities at my paying job has greatly increased. When I started these maps, I was working part-time. Now I manage two warehouses and two employees. Like most people, after a long week at work, I'd rather not spend another three hours at the computer on a FRIDAY night. It would be nice if I could work on the maps a little each night during the week, but for the most part, 90% of the information is not available until Friday.
So, starting this week, I will be spending only ONE hour on Friday nights making the SAT/SUN maps. I might work up a Friday map or a Saturday morning update. But most of the time, all I will be posting is a Saturday/ Sunday maps on Friday nights. The maps will be brief - just the place and the time. I will post all the Eagle listings first and the Craigslist posting as time allows. If you are promoting a yard sale email or post the address, day, and time, and I will add it to the map FIRST.
Thanks!

Brazos Valley Already Hungry for MORE YARD SALES!
Last Friday, I made the Saturday Yard Sale Google Map like I have been doing quite regularly for over a year, but this time with some surprising results.
There is a visit counter that tells me every time I get a unique viewer of the map ( reloading the page will not advance the counter ). Normally, in the height of yard sale season ( summertime), each map show about 60 to 90 yard sales and have a viewer count of about 90. At the end of this Saturday, even though there were only SIXTEEN yard sales advertised and plotted on the map, my map had 122 views.
If the count is not a fluke, think of what this means. I only advertised the map on the garage sale section of craigslist and on facebook ( I usually also post on craigslist general listing, but not this time ). So, assuming MOST yard sale hunters DO NOT use a computer, and most of those who do, do not go to my facebook page to get a link to the map, AND I still got 122 unique visits, then there were a LOT of yard sale hunters on the road Saturday.
This tells me that even though it's the dead of winter, yard sale season is in full swing. From now though Christmas, any Saturday that is not experiencing a flood/hail/tornado is a good day for a yard sale. It's a sellers market.

Yesterday's Treasures Vendors Transition to New Store
Two of the main vendors from Yesterday's Treasures are all set up and doing business at a new Antiques and Collectibles store ,Antiqueables, on South College in Bryan. Skip's Stones set up last month, and Vendor #10 (me) finished my basic set up yesterday.
This is Vendor #10's current set up at Antiqueables.
Vendor #12 , Celia (will be assigned a new number), is working on a more elaborate setup and will need another week or two to be up and running.
So, the Antiqueables store is open Tues-Sat from 10AM to 5PM
Hope to see you there.

Looking through today's yard sale finds
5/23/12
There were over 100 yard sales in town last Saturday, we concentrated on the street and neighborhood block sales in order to visit as many as possible.

Linda and I found some cool stuff like:
This Fur Real Kitty Pet that we were hesitant to leave locked up in the truck for fear some one would break the window to rescue it.
And this huge stuffed doll of "the Skipper"
some giant water/air pump rocket we found. I wonder if it will lift a cell phone camera...
Some small brushes I'm still trying to ID
and this bottle cap made to look like a PLUG FUSE.
I know half of you have to Google what a "plug fuse" is, go ahead, I'll wait....
... we're back.
We bought a box of Fisher Price Imaginext Space toys that turned out to be 4 complete play sets.
We found this neat little solid wood folding tea table that must have been surpluses from the Choga restaurant.
And, of coarse, lots of JEWELRY....
1970's TONKA Yellow Plastic Toy Car 6-3/4" long in very good condition.
